Huntly & Surroundings
Huntly is a fine centre for exploring all the surrounding countryside of farm and forest, river and rolling hills. Further afield, but within driving distance (and mostly accessible by bus) are the Speyside Way, Gordon Way and the Moray Firth coastal routes.
Huntly is easy to get to, being situated on the main Aberdeen-Inverness road (A96) and on the rail route between these cities. Those arriving by car or coach will find ample parking and toilets at the Market Muir, beside the approach to the town from the A96 roundabout. Parking is also available, for cars only, at the Huntly Nordic Ski Centre and Deveron Meadow; also, short-stay parking in The Square, accross the Tourist Information Centre, for those who need help with more information about the area or who wish to stop by the local shops.
Huntly is also a Walkers are Welcome town. Like the other 36 towns and villages that are also part of this network, we are committed to making sure that walkers have a pleasant stay while in our town.
